1.  Make sure the doctor shows numerous smile makeover cases of their own work, NOT stock photos of what is possible. Make sure the cases shown are at least 8 porcelain veneers or crowns, single tooth cases are not as difficult.

2.  Ask them what active memberships they hold and what status within the organization they have attained.  E.G.  The AACD has different levels, member, sustaining, accredited, and fellow

3.  Evaluate the enthusiasm of the entire team, do they make you feel warm and welcome.  You will be making an investment and you want you experience during and after to be one where you are happy to be in the office.

4.  Don't base your decison for a smile makeover solely on price. This is a big decision that will most likely change your life.  You don't want to be re-doing your veneers 5 years later because you got a sub standard smile makeover.  Lab costs vary and this influences the way the tooth looks in your mouth.  You want the smile to look natural and this takes more time and ultimately money.
